New look, Google interface for the 2024 Nissan Rogue
For the 2024 model year, Nissan is giving its acclaimed Rogue small SUV a facelift and a new infotainment system. The redesigned Rogue utilizes the Google Built-In interface, a first for the company.
Facelift from the inside out
The new model's exterior has a revised V-Motion grille from Nissan as well as new taillights and badging. The Platinum version includes gloss-black exterior detailing and unique 19-inch wheels, while the SV level receives a new 18-inch alloy wheel design.
In addition to newly available Chestnut brown leather upholstery, the inside of the cabin receives an upgrade with new colours, textures, and trim for the door panels, seats, centre console, and passenger-side dashboard. A wireless device charging pad, 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, and 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster are new standard equipment for the SL.

The easy-to-use touchscreen infotainment system with its big knobs, snappy screen, and simple menu layout is one of the hallmarks of the model-year 2023 Rogue. The Rogue receives a complete makeover for 2024, with Google assuming control of the operating system on the higher-end SL and Platinum trims. Nissan claims the system's bigger 12.3-inch touchscreen enables users to seamlessly log in to their Google account without connecting or plugging in a phone. When logged in, users may instantly access items like locations or areas of interest saved on Google Maps, connect to Google Play, and utilize the Google Assistant to find their next destination, play music, make calls, or send messages, as well as click to Google Play.
With varying degrees of success, other manufacturers like GM and Acura are now integrating the Google Built-In interface into their models. For instance, we discovered that the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado's system had bugs. Nissan claims that customers can still use the well-known Apple CarPlay and Android Auto systems wirelessly on the SL and Platinum trims and via a tethered connection on the S and SV trims. The new Google system is not accessible to everyone, either: The S and SV grades employ an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system as standard, which is a little smaller than the 2023's standard 9-inch screen and supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
For 2024, there are additional changes to how your phone will connect. The Rogue is the first Nissan in the US to have USB-C connections solely, and the base S trim comes standard with two front USB-C ports. SV and higher trims add two charge-only ports to the centre console's back.
The Amazon Alexa system, which enables voice control of linked smart home devices and provides customers access to music, audiobooks, and other content, is also available in the SL and Platinum variations for the 2024 model.
Last but not least, Nissan increased the length of the NissanConnect Services free trial; it is now free for three years rather than six. Users can access remote door lock and unlock remote engine stop-start, vehicle health report, and emergency calling capabilities through an app thanks to the telematics system, which is standard on SV and above trims.
