New fuel economy ratings for the 2024 Corvette Stingray

The 2024 Corvette, the fifth model year of the mid-engine sports car, is introduced with only minor upgrades and changes from the prior model year. Notably, these include a minor adjustment to the Corvette Stingray's fuel efficiency figures for 2024. The 2024 Corvette Stingray mpg statistics are currently the focus of a detailed examination by GM Authority.

According to estimates, the 2024 Chevy Corvette Stingray gets 16 mpg in the city, 25 mpg on the interstate, and 19 mpg overall. The 2024 Corvette Stingray's projected fuel efficiency on the freeway is one more mpg than the 2023 model year's.

It's important to note that the 2024 Chevy Corvette Stingray has no mechanical or aerodynamic improvements over the 2023 model year. Furthermore, GM asserts that even with the installation of numerous additional standard safety systems, the car's curb weight has not altered.

The 2024 Corvette range, which includes the 2024 Chevy Corvette Stingray, 2024 Corvette E-Ray, and 2024 Corvette Z06, is broken down by fuel efficiency ratings in the table below. Where relevant, fuel efficiency predictions for the model year 2023 before are also included. Note that the fuel efficiency numbers for the 2024 Corvette Stingray were determined with the Z51 performance package installed.

Recall that the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT2 gasoline engine in the 2024 Chevy Corvette Stingray is rated at a maximum of 490 horsepower at 6,450 rpm and 465 pound-feet of torque at 5,150 rpm in standard form. The factory performance exhaust option adds five horsepower and five pound-feet of torque to the output. The eight-speed automatic gearbox called the M1L, created in collaboration with Tremec, sends output backward. The production is done at the GM Bowling Green factory in Kentucky, with the Y2 platform as the foundation.

The 2024 Corvette Stingray now comes standard with several additional safety technology features, as reported by earlier GM Authority coverage. The 2024 C8 Corvette range has all of them as standard equipment, including Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Automated Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Alert, Front Pedestrian Braking, Following Distance Indicator, and IntelliBeam automated high-beam headlights.
