Windows 11 Is Here, What's New?

Microsoft has rereleased Windows 11. The new family member comes with new tools, a revised user interface (UI) with a glassy touch, and six new, diverse themes to pick from;

The best thing is that it will be free for everyone already using Windows 10. There are several brand-new, exciting features in this early product introduction.

Windows 11 will cover the significant adjustments and enhancements made to the new Windows version in this post.

Start and homepage

The new homepage has a fundamental redesign that appears relatively uncomplicated and tidy.

The start menu now has a new, glitzy look and feel thanks to the new themes, which look great.

"We've streamlined the design and user experience to boost your productivity and stimulate your creativity," according to Microsoft. I enjoy the glassy feel of this new design, and another critical aspect of this launch is the simplicity of file sharing across devices using Office 365.

But even so, it resembles KDE plasma and gnome environments in some ways because I've used several Linux distributions in the past.

App-store for windows

With Windows 11, the Windows app store is better than ever. With support for our beloved Android apps, Microsoft is transforming the app store into something more significant.

Microsoft adds well-known apps to the stack in this new shop, which is helpful for folks like me. These include Microsoft Teams, Visual Studio, Disney+, Adobe Creative Cloud, Zoom, and Canva.

To ensure the most incredible user experience, Microsoft aims to introduce additional programs, particularly in categories like games, shows, and movies. However, this is nothing new for the Microsoft shop, and I'm most excited about the Android applications that will be released.

For the first time, Android apps will be accessible on Windows. The applications will be released later this year, and as they can only be downloaded through the Amazon Appstore, you will need an Amazon account. Most of the necessary Android apps will be available here, so that's not too awful. You might not be able to find all Android apps on the Play Store.

Chats

You can interact with your loved ones through text, chat, audio, or video from anywhere with the help of Microsoft's new "Chats" feature from Microsoft Teams, which is integrated into the taskbar and available for iOS, Windows, and Android devices; This suggests that Microsoft is now prioritizing teams inside its ecosystem above Skype.

We'll have to wait until the official release to determine whether this is a tremendous success or a failure.

Widgets

We now have widgets on Windows 11, which are driven by Edge, which is like the cherry on top of a cake. According to Microsoft, Widgets is a new customized feed driven by AI and Microsoft Edge's best-in-class browser performance. The crucial information is there, including the news, the weather, and your images.

You might be acquainted with this if you use the Microsoft launcher on your Android device.

Other features

  • New animations
  • A new refreshed settings window
  • New sounds
  • Several new features for gamers
  • Action Center and notifications get a small UI upgrade

Major takeaways

Since Windows 11 will be free for current users and these features and designs have not yet been finalized, the finished product may see new improvements. Let's hope we receive a new, refined version of Windows before Christmas. This post is based on the official release documents from Microsoft's website and the leaked version of the new Windows 11, where these improvements were spotted.
