How to take a screenshot on a Mac: There are three simple ways to take a screenshot on a Mac.

You've successfully transitioned from a PC to a Mac. Welcome to a technologically enriched experience. You won't be able to go back.

Of course, I'm joking. This isn't a forum for Apple aficionados. You may rest confident that your technological tastes will not be mocked here. However, you're probably here because you switched to Mac from whatever else you were using previously. Maybe you only need to refresh your memories.

Few activities on a smartphone are as important as taking a screenshot these days, whether it's capturing the slides in your Zoom presentation or preserving a potentially dangerous tweet before it's erased.

Whatever your purpose, here's how to take a screenshot on a Mac, according to Apple's guidelines.

way 1

Hold down the Command, Shift, and 3 buttons at the same time.Your screenshot should appear in a new window. You may either click it to alter your snapshot or simply leave it alone for a few seconds until the window closes and your screenshot is saved.

way 2

Hold down the Command, Shift, and 4 buttons at the same time.

A crosshair will appear; press and hold the mouse or trackpad button to pick the area you wish to capture with the crosshair.

To take a screenshot, let go of your mouse.

The screenshot will appear in a window and give you the ability to alter it, just as when you take a snapshot of your complete screen.

way 3

The window should be opened.

Command, Shift, 4, and the space bar should all be held down at the same time.

There should be a camera symbol on the screen. To take a screenshot, use that to click on the window.

By holding "Option" when clicking on the window to capture it, you may remove the window's shadow from the screenshot.

By using the Esc or "Escape" key, you can cancel capturing a snapshot of a specific window or section of the screen.

Screenshots are saved as.png files to the desktop.
